Day-to-day care for wallpaper includes immediate removal of marks or stains. Light smudges and pencil marks can be removed by using art gum. Crayon marks can be removed with a soft sponge and cleaning fluid, though this should be tested first on a small patch of wallpaper to make sure the cleaning fluid won’t ruin the wallpaper. Warm soapy water can be used if the paper is washable.
If you don’t like wallpapers made by others, you can make one yourself. It is easy. You don’t have to be a professional artist or designer to make a wallpaper. Everyone who has a digital camera can do this; just make a nice photo that you will be pleased to see and put it on your desktop.
As mentioned above, the unpasted wallpapers can be difficult to remove and have been known to damage some types of surfaces. Their benefit is they can last for decades and save quite a bit of money over the cost of repainting walls every few years.
This method can make it easy to create even complicated designs and artwork, kept in perfect proportion, created in whatever size you need. Simply trace the projected pattern lightly with a pencil, either directly on painted walls or on plain pain table wallpaper, to create a custom look that will rival that of wallpaper.
